God loves people. Lighthouse is not about a building, but about people knowing God and seeing Him transform the world. It happens one life at a time as people from all backgrounds and ages become followers of Jesus Christ.
Sunday Gatherings
We come together on Sunday mornings to spend time with God, worship Him, pray and hear a message from the Bible. We have a childrens' ministry department that is staffed by men and women who will take excellent care of our children. We meet at 10 am on Sunday mornings at 1620 Mesa Verde, Ventura. Community Groups
The model to follow is found in Acts 2:46 where the first church met in the temple and in homes. That’s what we do at Lighthouse. Getting together in a large group builds a wide sense of community. Walking out our faith in smaller groups builds strong relationships with one another and with God. We have several different community groups; all of them about growing in our faith in God and celebrating our salvation through Jesus Christ.
Lighthouse Communities are all-age groups that meet weekly for fun, worship, prayer, to discuss and apply the weekly message and see the gifts of the Spirits used to help one another. In these groups we learn how to serve one another, pray for one another and worship together. It is also interesting to hear what God is saying to others through their daily devotions and the Sunday message.
Journaling Groups are small groups that meet to do the daily reading, write about what God is saying and then share what God said through His Word. Join a journaling group if you want to learn how to read the Bible or hear from God.
Growth Groups are focused on a curriculum, book or class. They are designed to teach from the Bible in a more structured way than a LightHouse community. These tend to be adult-only groups and change over the course of the year. You can join a growth group by signing up when they are offered.
Youth Group is for middle school and high school aged young men and women. It is tons of fun and also a time for spiritual and practical growth.
Men's Breakfasts
Periodically we get together as men and eat breakfast and get equipped for the work we have to do. This world is filled with temptations and struggles. We do what we need to do in order to "Be on the alert, stand firm in the faith, act like men, be strong" (1 Corinthians 16:13).
Women's Ministries
Ligthhouse women have several events each year as well as growth groups that focus on issues and Scriptures that are importrant to women.
