In response to the devestation in Haiti, we need to be praying. We alsocan give and this Sunday we will collect money to send to the reliefefforts. Please know that 100% of the money given to relief will go to thefield. All of the administrative costs are covered by our denomination. Bepraying for rescue workers and for many to turn to the Lord in this crisis.

Foursquare Haiti Shaken by 7.0 Earthquake Distributed Thursday, January14, 2010 Pastor Guy and Soeurette Thomas, Foursquare national leaders inHaiti, have not yet responded to repeated attempts at communicationfollowing the 7.0 earthquake that rocked the nation last night. The shakingwas felt more than 300 miles away in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic,which shares the island of Hispaniola with Haiti.Area missionary Dave Stone is looking to confirm the well-being of theThomas family and numerous other Foursquare congregants and ministers wholive and serve the seven churches and one orphanage of The FoursquareChurch in Haiti. In the midst of significant devastation, communication isintermittent at best. Missionary Charlie Finnochiaro is currently on hisway to Haiti with our first delivery of relief resources. FoursquareMissions Director Jonathan Hall has asked all Foursquare leaders tofervently pray for God’s protection on our pastors and congregants.The Foursquare Church is poised to respond with relief supplies andfinancial resources. Many pastors in the U.S. have already contactedFoursquare Missions International looking for ways to help. We arecurrently assessing the needs and our available resources. As contact ismade with our leaders in Haiti and additional needs are identified, we willdevelop a long-term plan to minister to people, bring relief tocommunities, and rebuild our churches.Haiti’s prime minister has speculated that casualties following theearthquake could top more than 100,000 people following the most powerfulearthquake to hit the country in more than 200 years. We have a couple of ministry opportunities for anyone wanting to help with the Christmas stockings for the Victoria Care Center residents.

1. We will meet at the church office multi-purpose room on Tuesday 12/22 from 4:30 – 5:30 (or as needed) to fill and sort the stockings.

2. We will pass out the stocking on Thursday 12/24 around 6 pm, following the Christmas Eve service.

Anyone that wants to partner in the ministry is welcome to help on either day.
